Week of Nov. 23 – 29: Total positive test results (on-campus testing and self-reports): 57. The weekly positivity rate is 2.38%. The totals include results from asymptomatic testing offered to students before winter break. You can find more data below or access the weekly snapshot.

On-Campus Target* Testing (Cumulative) Since 8/1/20

In an effort to provide a more meaningful public health perspective for close contact and quarantine information, the presentation of this data was modified on 9/14/20. An archived version of the original close contact and quarantine graph is available here.

Iowa State University has not received any reports of COVID-19 related hospitalizations among faculty, staff, and students since Aug. 1, 2020. Notes:
  • In an effort to provide more consistent data, we will now be associating all test results on the day in which the sample was collected rather than the day in which the test was resulted. As a result of this change, past weekly test data has slightly changed. If needed for reference or comparison, you can still access the previous webpage, but the data on this archived page will no longer be updated. In addition, date ranges have been added to weekly test results as well as a breakdown of the campus population and isolation and quarantine data.
  • ISU reports all test results to IDPH.  Delays in data processing may result in ISU statistics appearing different from IDPH statistics.
  • Employee and patient confidentiality laws prohibit us from disclosing the identities of individuals.
  • It’s important to note that any individual who has tested positive for COVID-19 has been instructed to isolate, and any individual who has met the CDC definition of having close contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 (<6 ft for at least 15 consecutive minutes) has been instructed to quarantine according to CDC guidelines.
